With 2 events left in the Scottish RS200 JP Watersports circuit Robbie Burns & Vicki Simpson have won the series.
Tied on 21 points for 2nd place are Sarah Robertson and Katie Masterson and their respective crews. This battle promises to be a hard fought 1 with 1 loch and 1 sea venue yet to come. Both sailors should have an advantage at each event, with Katie showing great tenacity at loch venues and Sarah some great results at the sea venues.
A tie for 3rd place exists between Scott Hyslop crewed by daughter Corrie and the RYA’s Roy Mcubbin crewed by partner in crime Kirsty Mcseverney.
With everything to play for anyone inside the top 8 could realistically take 3rd or even 2nd spot. In addition the prize of a new jib kindly provided by the class sponsor, www.jpwatersports.com is to be awarded to the highest attended boat from all the events this year.
With the dates for next year’s nationals being ‘firmed up’ as I write this next year promises to be great year for RS200 sailing in Scotland
