Report of RS200 Open Meeting held at Weston Sailing Club on 15th March
The sailors were met with a glassy calm on the morning of Weston’s RS200 Open meeting. In spite of the conditions, there were many crews who were keen to get on the water and eager to put into practice the lessons learned from the coaching session with Andy Robertson the previous day.

The race team then ran 4 races in quick succession to give the fleet some close tactical racing in light and (very) variable conditions.
The first start to Race 1 was called back after a general recall. Four races were then sailed in quick succession. It was one of those days when being in the right place for the wind would be crucial. Another key element would be sailing the correct course. About half the fleet followed the leader downwind on the first lap of the first race and around the wrong buoy.
After this hiccup the racing settled down with James Boyce and Sarah Hornby of Papercourt emerging as worthy winners.
