Who is your Class Association?

It is run by volunteer sailors with back-up by part time professional administrators
The sailors make the plans and decisions - without having to do all the leg work

The cost is tiny compared to your benefits, working out at just £3.75 per month for Full Membership, £3 per month for Club Membership or £2.08 per month for Youth Membership
By taking out International Class Association membership for one class, you will have reciprocal membership to the RS100, RS200, RS300, RS400, RS600, RS700, RS800, RS Vareo International and International RS500 Class Associations
One event membership is available for all events except National and major championships, for use by those borrowing a boat, intending to only sail in one RS Class Association event etc. Click here.

First, OD is only for racing, so I think I can modify things for fun or to increase my knowledge (keeping reasonable safety). Second, in case people find that they really like the new part, the Class can vote a change. Being the case a substitution of one OD part with another OD part by the same dealer, I see it very easily accomplished. Of course frequent changes are undesirable in a OD class, but no changes at all seems to me even worse. I think some discussion is beneficial for keeping people interested. Tweet
15/05/2014 15:16:01 Tim Le Mare Posts: 31	Good point Alberto, although I would still council caution, I have seen to many boats developed so fast and so far that it became to expensive for the average sailor. The boat becomes a class for the wealthy and the grass roots of our sport is left behind, but as you say a limited development is to be encouraged so the boat does not stagnate. Tweet
