Mast Rake setting - 4. I never really bother to change it! I guess if I was being active when it is nuclear you could move it back a bit.

Shrouds - 3rd hole down. Never change it

     PRE-START

Cunningham - Off

Kicker - Off until just before I trigger pull, then I pull about half of what I need for the conditions are. Pull the rest on as soon as I can after then. Usually 3 Seconds after the go. I leave the kicker off because it is quite easy to get stuck in irons.

     UPWIND
Cunningham - I just take out the creases from the sail until I am overpowered and then start to apply more. When overpowered I hang off it to get as much as possible.

Kicker - Light winds (not properly on the side) none. I go for a really open leech. Try to use mainsheet tension in the gusts.
         - Light/Medium winds (On the side but not hiking) Start to bring on the kicker. Concentrate on looking at leach tell tales. flying 50% stalling 50% in normal sailing modes. If I want height I will use more main sheet tension and squeeze the height.
         - Medium/Heavy (Hiking but not like a mad man!) Half to full kicker.

As soon as I am hiking properly and easing main regularly I will go to full kicker.

      DOWNWIND
Cunningham - Off the whole way. Only time this is not the case is if I am overpowered and have understood the lay line, where I will pull it as hard as I can to get to that mark.

Kicker - Off. I always let it off 100% of the way.

Nice info Paul. How far forward or back are you hiking upwind in flat water vs short slappy chop?

I'm much the same as Paul, mabe mast gate at 3 but that could be because i'm sailing inland and I have dropped the shrouds down to 4 but that was only for the nucular open meeting at L&L

Hiking - flat water i'm really far forward (i'm quite heavy) in the lighter stuff i'll be hiking off the angle of the wing.
Chop - Get as far back to stop the nose dipping in and out. back leg in the back toe strap

Hiking in flat I am right next to the kite block
Chop. Always in the front toe strap, but angling my body backwards and pushing my shoulders back, while lifting with my front leg to get over waves
