Hi Guys,
Has anybody got any thoughts on batten tensions? Using the 8.4m and on the light side so I'm maxed out for power quite early and looking to maximise twist above 12 kts of breeze, it feels the right thing to do to ease off the top batten tension and hope that opens up the top of the main. More tension on the top batten deepens the top camber and feels like it tightens the leach. Anyone got thoughts on this, seen any performance difference or am I just adjusting this to make myself feel more prepared?
No other 100s here at Largs so hard to judge small changes in handicap sailing.

Morning Al,
Thanks for the thoughts, as regards weight I do a good stick insect impression in a wetsuit at 71kg. Anything over 8kts and I go fully tight on the kicker strops and pre tension the cunningham. I`m pretty sure that the spreaders are fully in but I`ll check that. Likely back then to some more purchase on the cunningham and just horsing the hell out of it.
