From bitter personal experience here can I suggest that before small child or female is used for this job that you carefully check the area with a torch for sharp objects or wasps. Otherwise next time you need them to sort the bottom of your mast pot or go under a deck they may be less willing!

I had a look. There is action going on a few inches back from the chute, but it's impossible to see - may require a mirror. If you go in from the front, you are likely to dislodge a bit of foam that fills the gap between rear chute-lip and foredeck. Make sure to shove it back into place afterwards

I've heard from a reputable source last night they completed the procedure by going from the chute, removing the p-clips just inside the velcro and the offending items are about 20cms in from there - apparantly take 10mins from there .

I did mine last year - very fiddly, the p-clips are high up, just behind the chute and you can't see them when you have an arm in there.

I felt that the bungee was too short for the slack it had to take up so I attached a block to the existing p-clip (with a carbine hook as I couldn't do up a shackle single handedly), ran the bungee through the block and back to a padeye further back - the ones just under the fordeck. Double the lenght of elastic and the take-up is much better now.
