Rooster RS Summer Championships
 
Two days of racing on a fabulous race area, run by an excellent race team, with a delicious Saturday evening meal, then live music from great duo Kirk Ensor and friend.  What a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new buddies in the boat park, on the water and in the bar afterwards!
 
This event has a maximum limit of 180 boats.  It is strongly suggested that you enter and pay early in order to secure your place

Entry fee:
 
£15 early entry discount for online entry and payment before 0001hrs Wed 6 June:
 
£36 per single hander RS100, RS300, RS600 and RS700
£46 per double hander RS400, RS500, RS800 and 2000
£50 per RS200 this includes a £4 judge levy 
 
After 0001hrs Wed 6 June online entry:
 
£51 per single hander RS100, RS300, RS600 and RS700
£61 per double hander RS400, RS500, RS800 and 2000
£65 per RS200 this includes a £4 judge levy
 
After 0001hrs Wed 20 June enter in paper at registration.  Online entry closed
 
Enter online by clicking on the Enter Online title in the menu at the top of this page.  RS200s need to enter on their own RS200 Summer event site here in order to ensure they pay their RS200 entry fee
 
In order to alleviate the need to fill in an extra paper form at registration PYC has agreed that by entering online you have agreed to their club requirements with regards to medical declaration, agreement to comply with the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing, RYA Prescriptions and Sailing Instructions, including measurement compliance, licensing laws, PYC rules, liability and photography permission. Class Association Membership:
 
You need an RS Class Association member in your RS boat in order to race at this event.  You will need your RS Class Association membership number on your entry form.  Annual membership costs £39.  You can join online at the UK website home page here,  or by clicking on Join the RS Class Association in the menu at he top of this page, or in person at registration.  You could take out one event membership at registration.  This costs just £10.  This £10 will be deducted from the full cost of annual membership if that is taken out within the calendar year
 
You must be a 2000 Class Association member in order to race your 2000.   To join the 2000 Class Association click here
 
Under 18:
 
All under 18 sailors must present both an RS Class Association Under 18 form and a Parkstone YC Junior form at registration.  The RS CA form can be printed off here.  The PYC form can be printed off  here.  Please print off both forms at home and bring to registration completed and signed in order to speed up your registration.
 
The Racing:
 
Registration:  in the Training Room downstairs Friday evening from 1800hrs to 2000hrs and Saturday morning from 0900hrs to 1030hrs
 
Measurement:  All RS600, RS700 and RS800 sailors are to measure themselves during Sat registration using the RS Class Association plank and scales as appropriate
 
Briefing:  1030hrs Saturday morning in the Training Room downstairs
 
You will be released at 1100hrs on Saturday to allow sufficient time to sail to race area (45 mins to one hour)

Race Schedule:
 
Three back to back races are planned  for Saturday with the first race start not before 1255hrs.  Three back to back races are planned for Sunday with the first race warning not before 1055hrs
 
There will be three race courses so that each fleet gets suitable racing:
 
Course A: RS200 and 2000. The RS200 fleet will have Bill Handley as their event judge throughout their racing
 
Course B: RS400, RS700, RS800
 
Course C:  RS100, RS300, RS500 and RS600
 
Shoreside:
 
Parkstone YC has undergone an amazing transformation with a brand new state of the art club house.  They are ready for their first major event: our Rooster RS Summer Championship!
 

 
Food and Drink: All day restaurant open from early until late both Sat and Sun.  Bar open too!  The restaurant will be open Fri 1900 - 2130hrs
 
Saturday Evening Meal: from 1830hrs, £12 per head.  Buffet including chicken balti and rice, Thai green curry and rice, mushroom and apricot stroganoff (vegetarian), Italian meatballs and pasta, then your choice of a dessert.  Buy your tickets with your entry to enable the caterers to plan ahead.  Please contact me if you have any special dietary needs on [email protected]

Refund policy:
If you cancel your entry before the early entry deadline we will refund all fees, minus a £15 admin fee. If you cancel after the early entry deadline, but before online entry closes our standard policy is to return 50% of fees. Where an event entry limit has been reached a refund will only be issued if another boat from the waiting list takes your place. If you cancel after entry closes we will not usually issue a refund.
