Are you in the market for a shiny new RS100?
Thirteen years from its launch, the RS100 remains a very desirable high performance hiking skiff with blistering downwind speed.
The RS100 moulds are currently at the Ginger Boats workshop. Owner Alex Leonard has put out a call to RS100 sailors and potential newcomers to the fleet,
"We have made 4 boats of which one was at the dinghy show in 2022. I am trying to gauge if there is any interest in new boats for the 100 class in the UK before we make a decision of if to ask RS to once again store the moulds"
Please send a message to Alex as soon as possible if you have any interest in a new boat or a new hull. Hulls can be supplied, bare, fitted or partly fitted to the buyer's spec.
RS100 sailors at clubs where there are fleets of RS100s are urged to share this message to fellow club sailors who may not be part of the RS100 Class Association, or yet sailing RS100s. If no further orders are received, the moulds will be stored by RS Sailing.
Testament to the success of Ginger Boats part in keeping the RS heritage classes moving forwards are the RS600s, where a total of 9 new boats have been ordered, most of which are already out racing.
