The event was well supported by RS fleets, in general, but was a little light on RS100 numbers. We enjoyed pleasant conditions for November, with 5-10 knots of wind on both days and brilliant sunshine on Sunday. It was good to welcome Nick and Colin, who are new to the 100 fleet. The racing was good, well organised with interesting beats and tactical runs. There was never a 'one way track' round the course, with the shifts providing plenty to think about. Starting with the 300s, 500s, 600 and 700 added to the challenge, but provided plenty of information about what was happening up the beats.
The Crewsaver End of Season Party was great fun, excellent value and well supported. We were entertained us with steel drums and guitar before the main band got us dancing. The food was good, with a varied choice of curries and desserts. In summary - a great weekend! More 100 sailors next time ...
